Richelle Sigrist considered herself a “closet singer” from an early age. However, at the age of 21, she began stepping out and singing with her brother-in-law who was an active musician in downtown Fort Smith, AR. Although she couldn’t play an instrument herself, her love for singing drew her toward the worship team at her local church. Over the next several years, she grew her skills under the guidance of various incredible leaders.
In 2014, at 39 years old and with the support of her family, she decided to start a band and explore her dream of music. After a year of singing cover songs by artists like Otis Redding, Gnarls Barkley and ZZ Ward, Richelle picked up a guitar to allow for more opportunity and flexibility. Her songwriting skills began to flow and she now regularly performs, acoustically or with her band, keeping her eye on the future.
Richelle’s debut album, Eyes Of A Stranger, was released in January of 2018 and she is currently looking forward to embarking on her next project soon. Her original music is lyrically driven with various blends of classic rock, soul, blues and country which is being deemed as “Gypsy Blues”.
